The three mechanical components are almost complete. The plumbing is done and the electrical and HVAC will finish up Monday. The HVAC was one of those unpleasant surprises you get in these projects .Originally we thought we would be able to supply air to the addition with ductwork from the existing unit .Later it was determined the vents couldn't be put out there and the unit couldn't handle the added space. The builder's HVAC guy suggested a mini spilt so I called my source of knowledge for heating and air.Justins dad,Mike Dunn. Mike came over and engineered us a system then set it up for me to pick up at wholesale cost(Thanks Mike) Because we were limited in where we could put it, the air handler wound up in the garage by the door. I have always been picky about the cleanliness of the garage and don't like putting anything in it other than the mower and the car.As you can see from the pics', its in but the builder is putting walls with a door around it so you cant see it. A local contractor installed the unit and its up for inspection Monday.
